The aim of the “Let´s drive up to date” project is to boost accident prevention.
It is intended for drivers over 65 years of age and focuses on dealing with emergencies on the road.
At the beginning, the course participants will acquire theoretical knowledge while in the practical part they will practise how to deal with emergencies, using their own car and instructed by professionals. This mainly involves emergency deceleration, coping with skidding and manoeuvring the car.
Each course also includes a practical demonstration of first aid and is provided free of charge.
The statistics show that thanks to the “Let´s drive up to date” project, 1 human live have been saved and 1756 accidents have been prevented.
It was a fantastic experience. I would definitely recommend it to all those who are as young as me.
